It’s official — the UK publisher for “House of Mists” will be MacMillan.  I’m really pleased, not just because it’s sold, but because I really enjoyed speaking with my now-editor there.  She has a great sense of humour and I think it will be fun working together. And, of course, MacMillan was the original publisher of the “Alice” books!

Things never happen the way you expect.  After all, I’d been living in Los Angeles for the best part of a decade trying to get someone (anyone) interested in my screenplays and it turned out that I should have been writing books all along.  I just started a story, showed the first few chapters to some friends and was stunned to discover that they really liked it!  So this blog is going to be mostly about my adventures in publishing as they unfold.  And also about whatever else I happen to be doing.  Because I’m easily distracted…
